“Covert Affairs,” has signed Kari Matchett (“24,” “Invasion”), Eric Lively (“The L Word”) and Eion Bailey (“Band of Brothers”) to its ensemble.
The pilot stars Piper Perabo as a CIA trainee whose ex-boyfriend (Bailey) is also of interest to the agency. If the show is picked up, Bailey will have a recurring part, the HR says. Matchett and Lively will both be regulars, with Matchett playing Perabo’s boss and Lively a fellow agent.

Updating: Peter Gallagher does “Covert”
Peter Gallagher has been tapped to co-star on USA Network’s pilot “Covert Affairs.”
Gallagher will play CIA director Arthur Campbell, a regal man and former Naval officer who loves a good fight, great scotch and a filthy joke.
Gallagher recently wrapped the feature “Betty Anne Waters.”
