The Visiting Writers’ Reading Series

This October, Piper Perabo will speak at The Visiting Writers’ Reading Series, sponsored by the Ocean County College Office of Student Life and the School of Languages and the Arts. The events, which are free and open to the public, will be held on the OCC Main Campus, College Drive, Toms River, NJ.

On Friday, October 10, playwright, director and screenwriter Neal LaBute, along with actress Piper Perabo, will present from 11:00 a.m. to 12:15 p.m. in the Solar Lounge of the Student Center.

Perabo, who starred in the films Coyote Ugly, Cheaper by the Dozen, and Imagine Me & You, is fresh from her Broadway debut in reasons to be pretty. At the Visiting Writers’ Reading Series, she will perform some of LaBute’s monologues and discuss the craft of bringing his characters to life on stage.

Man, I’d love to hear what Piper has to say on this subject. Actually, Piper could read the phonebook and I;d be happy. Still, as an aspiring writer I’d love to be there!

I wish to meet Piper in person. I really admire her. Hoping to see her in movies again. Here in the Philippines, she’s not popular.. but I’m sure if she’ll visit here and shoot a movie, everybody will love her as I do. I love you Piper :)
